For continuous dual fillet welds with dual slides and torches for various
sized shaped channels or stiffeners, used in fabrication of trailers
Used for making continuous dual fillet welds on bridge girders, stiffeners, or box beams
Dual slide, dual torches, separated for welding flange to web on small H-beams or box beams
Portability (ability to move the machine throughout the shop)
One man operation
Deposits welds at six times the manual rate
Dual deep weld penetration submerged arc fillet welds with speeds up to 25 inches per minute (635 mm)
Floating arc guidance system to maintain arc position automatically
Carries two Ogden continuous recycling flux recovery systems
The Dart 2102 is completly self contained. It consist of a travel carriage which includes the controls, wire feeders, torches and guidance and a travel beam which rides on the flangees of the girder being welded.
The beam is parallel to the stiffiner and the travel carriage moves along the beam at welding speed, propelling the torches along the joint. The floating guidance allows the torches to move up and down the sideways freely. If the joint being welded moves in relation to the travel carriage and travel beam, the torches are free to follow. Guidance bearings which contact the work as near as practical to the joint insure that the welding electrode will be accurately positioned in the joint at all times.
